Guitar flash sale to raise funds for Ken Parker's family.
Everyone in the guitar world knows Ken Parker—from his revolutionary Parker Fly to his visionary work advancing the archtop guitar. I had the privilege of meeting Ken a few years ago, and as kindred guitar geeks, we became fast friends. Over the years, he has been extraordinarily generous with his time and encyclopedic knowledge, always helping me push my own craft forward.
Ken has struggled for a couple of years with a rare form of cancer that has progressively debilitated him and his ability to work, and sadly passed away on October 5th. His family still needs our support.
I've decided to do something immediate: a flash sale of my Thames guitar, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Ken's family. Craig Snyder at CR Guitars has generously agreed to waive his commission entirely, so every dollar goes where it's needed most.
It feels right that whatever help we can offer Ken's family should come through our shared love of this craft—the very thing that brought us together and that he has elevated for all of us.
This is your chance to own an exceptional instrument at a great price and help one of the most influential luthiers of the last half-century.
If you're unable to purchase the guitar, you can still contribute directly to the fundraising campaign his family has established: GoFundMe
