Harp Guitars

The harp guitar is an instrument that was popular towards the end of the 1800s and all the way to the early 30's. Then, after a few decades of quiescence a few artists took it upon themselves to revive this interesting instrument. To name a few, John Doan with his Elliott/Sullivan original harp guitar and Stephen Bennett with his 1900 Dyer by the Larson Brothers had a huge role in bringing back the harp guitar in the international music scene. Gregg Miner over at harpguitars.net also has an incredible amount of information on anything harp guitar related, check it out!

My harp guitars are based on the Dyer hollow arm design, with the sounbox extending all the way up to the end of the neck with a hollow, curved arm supporting the extra strings. Usually there are six extra bass strings on the arm, which can be tuned in various ways, going down a whole octave (and more) from the low E of a normal guitar.

For comfort and playability my harp guitars can be equipped with the optional pinless bridge, an armrest, sharping levers and adjustable neck system.

Guitars are generally built as custom orders, but sometimes I might have some inventory in stock. A 1000 € deposit is required to order a guitar and reserve a spot in the waiting list. Final balance is due before the instrument is shipped. Shipment and insurance are not included in the quoted price.

Base prices are:

Electric Guitars: 2300 €

Acoustic Guitars: 5000 €

Harp Guitars: 6500 €

I guarantee my guitars to the original owner for five years, against workmanship flaws. The warranty does not cover normal wear or abuse and cracks due to adverse humidity conditions.
