UnTangler

Max!!!!

I just de tangled a couple of guitars. Took a few tries to get it really dialled in and to get the feel. But now that all of that is sorted, it’s amazing. Love it.

A typical bound fretboard has 38-42 fret ends that need the tang removed and filed so they fit and sit nicely. It is hard on the hands and not a fun task. Max's "UnTangler" makes this job so much easier, faster, with less hand fatigue and is a very welcome addition to the few tools dedicated to bound fingerboard fret prep.

I first used the free version that Max offers in the LoothGroup and that works great. This pro version brings the tool to a whole new level, for it's adjustablility, durability and ease of use.

Hey Max, I’ve put the UnTangler to work on several fret jobs now. I have to say I much prefer it over my old method of hand filing the residual tang. It’s noticeably faster prepping large stainless frets.
